Aurelion Sol is an ancient celestial being who existed before the formation of most stellar bodies. He wielded incomprehensible cosmic power, capable of forging stars and shaping galaxies themselves. The Targonian Aspect of Twilight discovered him and enslaved him through a magical collar, forcing him to serve their will and drastically limiting his immense power.

He maintains an aloof superiority toward mortals in general, viewing them as insignificant compared to his cosmic stature. His ultimate desire is liberation from his enslavement.

Despite being weakened by his collar, Aurelion Sol has demonstrated the ability to engage multiple champions simultaneously in the Fields of Justice. He can summon orbital celestial bodies that deal massive damage to entire regions. His cosmic lore establishes him as having single-handedly created solar systems and shaped the fate of galaxies, making him one of League's most powerful lore entities despite his current enslaved state.
